Young adults want
to develop their spiritual life. They speak of this as being the foundation—the
rootedness— of their
lives. It is through this
spiritual life that young adults
grow in appreciation for the way God works in their lives. Young adults
can begin
to develop and nourish their
spiritual life by:
- Participating in
the sacraments, especially the sacraments of reconciliation, Eucharist,
confirmation, and anointing of the sick.
(Check your parish bulletin/website for more information).
- Experiencing and
learning different forms of personal and group prayer.
- Inviting young
adults from other faiths to gather together for ecumenical prayer.
- Forming bible
study and reflection groups that are both peer and intergenerational.
- Participating in diocesan sponsored events that
will enrich your faith. (i.e. Spirit & Truth, Theology on Tap)
- Checking the YAM
Groups link to identify and join a Young Adult Group in your area.
- Attending the
annual Diocesan Young Adult Retreat and your local parish young adult
retreats.
These links will assist you in your search to deepen your relationship with
Christ.
